Continuous, matching S-wave copper conductors

The illustrated twin copper wires follow relaxed long-pitch S curves with uniform separation and no intersections. Both reach the cut end. Conductor count, grade, diameter, wave pitch and transverse sweep are specified by drawing or sample. Copper and stainless steel require separate material and connection assessment.

Two detectable constructions

Choose a metal-film laminate, such as aluminium foil between printed plastic layers, or a continuous-wire construction laminated to warning tape. Materials, connections and installation requirements are agreed for the particular project.

• Copper grade specified against the application and purchasing requirements.
• Wire diameter selected for the agreed manufacturing and handling requirements.
• S-wave pitch, transverse sweep, spacing and position to drawing or approved sample.

Tape and repeated warning print

Customise width, thickness, film and laminate construction, colour, roll length, core, packaging and roll labels. Specify language, letter size and repeat spacing for warnings such as CAUTION WATER PIPE BELOW or CAUTION UNDERGROUND CABLE, with optional company and project identification.

Connection, installation and acceptance

Tell us the intended locating equipment, active connection method, joint locations and access points. A conductor alone is not a complete locating system. Field results depend on conductor continuity, connections, access, depth, soil and equipment. Joint accessories, access points and pre-backfill continuity checks can be considered together. Performance criteria and applicable standards are agreed in the quotation and sample approval.
